Sheet Starch is a lightweight foam yet strong and resistant to compression, manufactured by expanding starch with steam, offering protection for products, your image and the planet. It is easily cut with a knife and ideal for cutting shapes or cavities to encapsulate fragile items. By layering, you can create cavities preventing migration of your items. It is excellent for flat packing, void filling, or custom constructing support blocks, corners, and spacers. Great for large or high-value item protection for export, local shipping, or storage of fragile items. If wiped with a damp sponge, it can stick to itself, forming an assembly or securing items without the need for tape. Provides good insulation properties. Naturally antistatic—this foam is suitable for packaging electronics. Ideal for export—many countries now regulate imports and packaging materials. Not suitable for wet environments or direct contact with products that produce condensation. Will biodegrade when exposed to any environment containing bacteria and moisture—this can be aerobic or anaerobic, above or below ground. Can be incinerated—combustion is complete with no toxic volatiles or metallic residues. There is no GMO (GE) content, or wheat or protein in the formulation, making this foam gluten-free. Sheet Starch is a sustainable, renewable, and compostable replacement for petroleum-based plastic foams.
