This cling film is based on sustainable, renewable raw materials and made without plasticisers or additives (plasticisers in traditional cling films have been shown to transfer to food). It is FDA food contact approved and certified to Home Compost AS 5810 and Commercial Compost EN 13432 international standards. Also, worm farm friendly. All printing uses non-toxic water-based inks.

All traditional cling film ends its life in landfill, litter or pollution; however, this film provides a sustainable end-of-life solution, a ‘circular economy’ product.

This cling film can be used for all kinds of food, including those with high fat and acid content. It is freezer safe, has good puncture resistance, elasticity, strength and tear resistance. It provides excellent protection against microorganisms and the deterioration of food from exposure to oxygen and moisture. This film is not a total barrier; with some permeability, allowing foods to ‘breathe’ so they remain fresher longer without sweating. However, it has a high odour barrier, preventing the transmission of odours.

This cling film contains plant materials, so like plants, it will not last; it has a shelf life of approximately one year from the production date, after which time it will lose strength. Best practice stock rotation is therefore important, ‘first in – first out’. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat.
