Description
No Smell… No Mess… Collecting food scraps without the ‘yuck factor’. Ventilated benchtop caddies with BioBag liners are the world’s leading, user-friendly solution for collecting food scraps—proven effective in economically diverting organic waste from landfill for over 30 years. The food scraps dehydrate as the caddies and liners breathe, eliminating slop, smell, and the need to clean putrid bins, even making collections pleasant. The breathable liner allows food scraps to decompose aerobically (with oxygen), preventing odours, harmful methane, mould, and flies—all of which accompany closed bins where organics decompose without oxygen.
Disposing of food scraps in a landfill or down the sink is a waste of valuable organics. In-sink processors are banned in many cities as they burden sewage systems and infrastructure. The food scraps still need to be filtered out and sent to landfill. Additionally, the high nutrient discharge from liquid waste into oceans contributes to algal blooms and pollution.
About half of what we send to landfill is organic—comprising food scraps, green waste, paper, and timber. Food scraps in landfills create toxic leachate, pollute waterways and aquifers, release methane (a greenhouse gas 28 x worse than CO2), and contribute to unstable land.
Ventilated caddies with BioBag liners:
– Accommodate a wide range of organic waste
– GE (GMO)-free and home compostable
– Worm farm-friendly
– Prevent odours, mould, and flies
– Effective barrier against bacteria and viruses
– No putrid bins to clean
– Demonstrate high user satisfaction and low contamination
– Prevent harmful methane and leachate in landfills
