These crystal clear lids are made from PLA, the ONLY compostable and biodegradable clear lids made from sustainable, renewable resources. ALL other clear lids are made from plastics that end their life as landfill, litter or pollution. Please note PLA products are very heat sensitive; they should not be exposed to a heat source or left in sunlight. They will distort at temperatures exceeding 40 °C, which, for example, is easily achieved in a closed car on a sunny day.

These lids are certified commercially composted to EN13432 and ASTM D6400 standards; they are safe, however, in a home compost, but will take longer than the compost product certification standards require to compost. Being made entirely from renewable plant materials, compostable & biodegradable, makes these a circular economy product.
